This study evaluates the architectural and daylight performance of traditional Indian stone jaalis. Analyzing historical mosques across Ahmedabad, researchers simulated various stone thicknesses and solid-void ratios. Findings reveal that traditional thick jaalis optimize natural illuminance, reduce glare, and enhance thermal comfort, offering valuable strategies for modern sustainable building design.
